About the Role

The role is responsible for planning and designing all building services elements within the assigned discipline, including concept design coordination with architecture and structure, design calculations, quantity estimation, and ensuring compliance with company quality standards. The incumbent will manage design output checks, coordinate across disciplines, guide the design team to meet deliverables on time, and oversee performance of engineers and CAD technicians. Additionally, they will monitor design costs for profitability, share knowledge with staff, and coach junior team members.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and have at least ten years of HVAC design experience on complex projects such as high‑rise buildings, malls, hotels or metro systems. Proficiency with load calculation and ducting software (IES, HAP, HEVACOMP) and strong abilities in reviewing drawings, preparing design reports, developing BOQs, and applying local and international codes (ASHRAE, CIBSE, BS, BSRIA) are required. Experience with sustainable design, BIM tools like Revit/AECOsim, and excellent communication and team‑leadership skills are also essential. • B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering discipline • 10 years of extensive experience in HVAC design with increasing responsibility • Experience in high‑rise buildings, shopping malls, hotels, metro projects, etc. • Proficiency in IES, HAP, HEVACOMP for load calculations, ducting, piping, equipment selection, ventilation and smoke extraction systems • Well‑versed in reviewing and checking drawings and calculations • Experience preparing design basis, concept, schematic reports and technical specifications • Good awareness of developing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) • Familiarity with local authority codes and regulations (municipality, civil defence, environmental authority) • Knowledge of international codes and regulations (ASHRAE, CIBSE, BS, BSEN, BSRIA) • Understanding of sustainable, green building design practices and rating guidelines • Ability to independently handle design and lead a team of engineers and technicians while managing time and resources • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to liaise directly with clients • Experience with BIM and use of Revit/AECOsim is highly regarded
