Job Highlights
About the Role
As a Tower Technician III you will work in a safety‑focused environment, installing, maintaining, and operating telecommunications equipment while expanding technology to benefit communities. You will also mentor less‑experienced technicians and collaborate with crews using helicopters, cranes, and gin‑poles to erect towers. • Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment. • Follow MasTec Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and industry standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI). • Climb towers and ladders, conduct erection of various tower types, and assist with helicopter, crane, and gin‑pole lifts. • Off‑load material, prepare and clean sites, and install carriers on new and existing towers. • Assemble monopole, self‑support, knock‑down, and guyed towers; install microwave, VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast antennas. • Install transmission lines, including foam/air dielectric coaxial, hardline, and elliptical waveguide. • Install foundations, grounding, conduits, and related electrical components. • Mentor less‑experienced technicians and perform other assigned duties.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate prioritizes safety, consistently delivers high‑quality work, enjoys hands‑on problem solving, and has at least four years of tower experience, a high‑school diploma, and the ability to read technical prints. You must be able to climb towers, lift up to 50 lb, work up to 12 hours, and maintain a valid driver’s license; possession of a PWSA certification is a plus. • Meet qualifications: high school diploma, ≥4 years tower experience, ability to read technical prints, and working knowledge of safety standards; PWSA certification a plus. • Physically able to climb towers, lift 50 lb, work up to 12 hours, and hold a valid driver’s license.
