Civil Craft Laborer - Four Horizons

About the Role

Mortenson is currently hiring a Laborer who will support Laborer Journeymen with material handling, equipment assembly and disassembly, work‑area preparation, and cleaning of machines and workspaces. The Laborer will also handle general cleanup, debris clearing, and assist with other tasks as needed. • Load and unload equipment • Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools for other crafts • Clean work area, machines, and equipment • Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5 × 7 × 16) and staging • Perform general cleanup and debris removal, including sweeping, washing, and loading or burning debris • Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete • Build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels • Operate power and non‑powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements

What You Bring

The role requires the ability to operate power and non‑powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies. Candidates should have a strong teamwork orientation, a positive attitude, professional customer‑service skills, attention to detail, and effective communication, including openness to diverse input. Experience in construction is preferred, and the job involves repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements with lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lb (over 50 lb only with assistance). Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
