About the Role

The engineer will prepare technical reports, design drawings, specifications for procurement and construction, and deliver technical presentations and meetings for client and regulatory review. Responsibilities also include reviewing contract submittals, performing bid analyses, completing engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and providing technical guidance to CAD designers, junior engineers, and designers. Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and discipline leads will be essential to develop budgets, schedules, and ensure project goals are exceeded. • Lead and support engineering assessments, remedial design, and construction projects from investigation to long‑term management. • Prepare technical reports, design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and material takeoffs. • Review contract submittals, conduct bid analyses, and provide technical guidance to CAD designers and junior engineers. • Collaborate with project managers and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and ensure project goals are met. • Provide regulatory, permitting, and compliance support while mentoring junior staff.

What You Bring

Parsons is seeking a talented Civil/Environmental Engineer II to support and lead engineering assessments, remedial design, and construction projects across all phases—from initial investigation to final implementation and long‑term management. The role operates within the Environmental Practice group, applying technical theories, practices, and company policies to moderately complex assignments. The position requires willingness to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction sites as needed. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and have at least five years of relevant experience; a Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred or attainable within two years. The role demands exceptional written and oral communication skills, a strong independent work ethic, flexibility to adapt to rapidly shifting client priorities, and hands‑on experience with in‑situ chemical oxidation, air sparge, soil vapor extraction, and other in‑situ treatment technologies. A thorough understanding of environmental regulations is required, and no security clearance is needed. • Hold a Bachelor’s in Engineering with 5+ years experience; PE license preferred or attainable within 2 years. • Experience with in‑situ treatment technologies such as ISCO, air sparge, and soil vapor extraction. • Strong written and oral communication, independent work ethic, and ability to adapt to shifting client priorities.
