About the Role
The Houseman is a key member of the Residential Services Department, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness of both interior and exterior club spaces. The role supports housekeeping, food & beverage, events, maintenance, fitness, and other operational areas with minimal supervision. Daily responsibilities include keeping public and back‑of‑house areas in excellent condition, handling waste removal, assisting with event setup and breakdown, and transporting linens and supplies. The houseman also helps maintain housekeeping closets, supports laundry operations, and performs minor maintenance tasks as needed. • Keep windows and high‑touch surfaces spotless. • Remove trash and recycling, replace liners, and transport waste to designated areas. • Clean and maintain furniture, fixtures, equipment; spot‑clean carpets, walls, glass, and doors. • Respond promptly to immediate cleaning requests and special projects. • Identify and report maintenance issues such as lighting, plumbing, flooring, or safety hazards. • Perform minor repairs like replacing bulbs, tightening screws, or adjusting furniture. • Support pressure washing, floor polishing, deep‑cleaning, and seasonal maintenance tasks. • Assist with event setup and breakdown, ensuring tables, chairs, and linen are arranged and spaces remain clean. • Transport linens, supplies, and equipment between departments and keep housekeeping storage organized. • Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and stocking linen. • Work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and handle long hours as needed. • Collaborate effectively in a team environment and remain calm during high‑traffic periods.
