About the Role
The Shift Engineer oversees day‑to‑day engineering operations of the township, ensuring uninterrupted functionality of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, safety compliance, vendor coordination and rapid response to technical issues during the assigned shift. • Monitor, operate, and maintain MEP systems (HVAC, LT panels, DG sets, pumps, STP/WTP, fire systems, elevators, lighting) and ensure preventive maintenance and prompt troubleshooting. • Supervise technicians during the shift, maintain accurate handover documentation, and monitor energy consumption for efficiency improvements. • Coordinate vendors and contractors, ensure safety and quality compliance, and verify completion of maintenance and AMC tasks. • Ensure engineering activities comply with safety protocols, statutory regulations, and support emergency preparedness and incident reporting. • Maintain daily reports, checklists, breakdown logs, utility consumption records, and promptly report major incidents to the Estate Manager.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a diploma or degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and possess 3–6 years of experience managing MEP systems in residential townships, commercial buildings or large facilities. Experience with building management systems (BMS) is preferred. Key competencies include strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities, knowledge of safety procedures and statutory compliance, and leadership skills to manage technicians. Effective communication, coordination and the ability to work in shifts and handle emergencies are also required.
