About the Role

• Make 20‑30 outbound calls daily. • Achieve new‑customer acquisition goals. • Upsell additional products, services, and equipment. • Conduct rental follow‑up calls after equipment return to ensure satisfaction and generate referrals. • Serve as point person for web and media‑based rentals. • Log all calls, leads, and opportunities in the CRM. • Respond promptly to customer calls and emails. • Meet targets for rentals, new accounts, and reactivating inactive accounts. • Develop and maintain a database of customers, companies, competitors, and project information. • Use reporting services and association contacts to prepare for upcoming projects. • Organize time and territory efficiently for effective coverage. • Keep sales tools (brochures, specification sheets, promotional items) on hand and use them creatively. • Collaborate with the Rental Sales Manager to achieve company goals. • Act as a customer problem‑solver, involving the manager or service department when necessary. • Participate in local trade associations to network and strengthen customer relationships. • Provide after‑hours customer support as needed to maintain satisfaction. • Deliver sales presentations verbally, in writing, or via PowerPoint. • Visit job sites with Outside Sales Representatives to learn product applications and customer needs. • Know the full rental fleet and demonstrate equipment to increase customer awareness. • Negotiate calmly, addressing concerns and aligning terms with customer and company standards. • Practice active listening to match customer needs with appropriate equipment.

Milton Rents is seeking a self‑starter for an in‑store position focused on acquiring new customers through company‑provided third‑party databases such as Dodge, IIR, and Business Exchange. This role is not order‑taking and is designed for individuals who thrive on competition, ownership, and winning. The ideal candidate is resourceful, multitasks effectively, and communicates well. • Understand construction phases and project conditions to time rental recommendations appropriately. • Preferably hold a 4‑year college degree. • Communicate effectively with people at all levels. • Proficient in computer applications such as Excel, Word, and CRM systems. • Possess inside and/or outside sales experience. • Ability to call on active job sites when needed. • Ability to sit for long periods of time. • Maintain a valid driver’s license.

Benefits

Compensation includes a potential pay range of $65,000‑$90,000 based on hourly rates and an uncapped commission plan.
