About the Role
The ILS Manager will be accountable for the overall performance of the Integrated Logistics Support function. This includes ensuring that all logistics planning and deliverables align with program objectives and regulatory requirements. The role also involves developing the capability of the ILS team and fostering effective resource management. • Lead, manage, and report on all ILS team outputs, including administrative tasks and strategic planning. • Oversee delivery, review, and endorsement of ILS plans and contract deliverables, such as the Integrated Logistics Support Plan. • Represent the SHFC ILS function at management forums, ensuring alignment with program objectives. • Manage export controls for the SHFC program to maintain regulatory compliance. • Mentor ILS team members and foster capability growth and effective resource management. • Work on critical Defence projects that protect Australia’s future.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will hold a tertiary qualification in logistics management and have demonstrated experience in Defence sustainment and procurement, including the use of the ASDEFCON suite. They must exhibit strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to ethical conduct consistent with Defence, CASG, and Commonwealth policies. A current Negative Vetting 1 (or higher) security clearance is required, with ITAR compliance potentially applicable. • Tertiary qualification in logistics management with Defence sustainment and procurement experience. • Proven logistics leadership experience, capable of coaching teams through strategic implementation and change management. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with internal and external Defence stakeholders. • Ability to steward project resources efficiently and drive continuous improvement for value‑for‑money outcomes. • Current Negative Vetting 1 (or higher) security clearance; ITAR compliance may be required.
