About the Role
The Head of PM, Specialty Projects is a full‑time position located in Indianapolis, IN. Acting as a strategic enabler, the role provides oversight, compliance, operational direction, and governance for a complex portfolio of high‑value projects. The incumbent will champion delivery excellence, capability growth, and continuous improvement, while leading internal implementation and modification plans for FAR15 within Defence projects. Key responsibilities include providing strategic oversight and performance reporting across multiple Defence delivery streams, maintaining the FAR15 framework for Defence North America, translating strategic priorities into clear delivery plans, and coaching Programme Directors and Delivery Leaders to enforce disciplined execution and risk management. • Provide strategic oversight, governance, and performance reporting across Defence delivery streams, including FAR15 programmes. • Build and maintain the FAR15 framework for Defence North America and translate strategic priorities into executable delivery plans. • Coach Programme Directors and Delivery Leaders to enforce delivery discipline, manage systemic risks, and resolve operational issues. • Implement Agile, flow‑based, and waterfall delivery models and embed them effectively across teams. • Influence senior leaders and customers to adopt standards, shape delivery outcomes, and secure necessary resources. • Own and maintain standards that enable PM professionals to excel, including process simplification and tool deployment. • Provide a hybrid work model with a minimum of three on‑site days per week; remote roles permitted in all states except Idaho, Nebraska, Nevada, Vermont, and Wyoming.

What You Bring
Successful candidates must hold at least an associate degree with ten years of program or project management experience (or equivalent higher education with fewer years) and be a US citizen or permanent resident. They should embody Rolls‑Royce’s principles of safety, integrity, simplicity, and impact. Preferred qualifications feature subject‑matter expertise in FAR15, proven leadership of large, high‑stakes projects, accreditation from recognized project‑management bodies such as PMI or APM, and experience across non‑core functions like purchasing, commercial, and engineering. • Require at least 10 years of program or project management experience (or equivalent education/experience) and US citizenship or permanent residency. • Prefer subject‑matter expert level knowledge of FAR15 and accreditation from recognized project‑management bodies such as PMI or APM. • Demonstrate proven ability to lead large projects with accountability for quality, time, cost, and performance, and strong stakeholder management.
