Job Highlights
About the Role
The role involves detailing commercial and civil projects related to the supply and installation of rebar, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract specifications. • Adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication safety programs and standards. • Continuously develop knowledge of industry reference material such as CRSI and ACI manuals. • Verify drawings, dates, specifications, addenda, and contractual information from routing sheets or the business system. • Detail complex projects (columns, beams, slabs, grade beams) under supervision. • Report any changes to contract documents to the supervisor. • Detail accessories, mesh, couplers, dowel bars and prepare material lists as required. • Collaborate with job site personnel to determine detailing and material delivery requirements. • Communicate with architects/engineers to resolve contract document issues. • Generate material lists using RebarCAD and create replacement orders as needed. • Enter all drawings into the drawing tracking system. • Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

What You Bring
• Demonstrate conduct aligned with Nucor’s vision and values. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. • Hold a vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting or equivalent training and experience. • Have at least one year of experience detailing rebar with a CAD‑based system. • Preferred: two‑year technical degree and construction/concrete knowledge. • Preferred: working knowledge of CRSI and ACI reference materials. • Must be able to work overtime when required and complete assessment tasks during the hiring process.
