About the Role
In this role, the manager oversees a Branch Systems operation team of Systems Technicians and Designers, assigning projects, allocating resources, and providing site coordination for complex contracts while ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards. Key leadership duties include hiring, retaining, and developing direct reports, conducting performance reviews, delivering training and mentorship, and ensuring projects are executed accurately, on schedule, within budget, and properly billed. The manager also reviews contracts, supports change‑order initiatives, develops detailed billing schedules, and cultivates long‑term relationships with contractors, clients, and consultants. • Manage Branch Systems operation team, assign projects, allocate resources • Provide site coordination support on high‑complexity contracts • Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations and uphold ethical standards • Hire, retain, and develop direct reports; conduct performance reviews and create development plans • Train and mentor Systems Technicians and Designers; facilitate SO‑TECHT training • Oversee project execution to ensure accuracy, timeliness, budget adherence, and proper billing • Allocate resources among Lead Systems Specialists for cost‑effective installations • Recruit skilled Systems Designers and Technicians to meet branch needs • Review contract terms, assist with scope evaluation, change orders, and Schedule of Values development • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants, and subcontractors

What You Bring
The position requires solid knowledge of control theory and HVAC systems, hands‑on experience with digital HVAC controls design and commissioning, and the ability to convey technical information to non‑technical audiences. Candidates need a technical degree or equivalent experience, at least six years of HVAC design and controls work, six years of leadership experience, and an understanding of project accounting and contracting; PMP certification is preferred. • Knowledge of control theory and HVAC systems; hands‑on design and commissioning experience • Ability to communicate technical material to non‑technical audiences • Technical degree or equivalent work experience; PMP certification preferred • Minimum six years of HVAC systems design and controls experience • Minimum six years of management/leadership experience • Understanding of project accounting, costing principles, and contracting • Strong coaching, interpersonal, and communication skills
