About the Role

The Safety (HSE) Coordinator serves as the front‑line safety professional, conducting inspections, observations, investigations, training, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations. The role supports field teams across departments, provides regulatory counseling, and maintains accurate safety records and documentation. • Advise and counsel on compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, laws, codes, and company standards. • Inspect facilities, tools, equipment, and machinery to identify hazards and ensure OSHA/DOT/MUS compliance. • Assist local management in investigating work‑related incidents to determine root causes. • Develop mitigation measures and corrective actions to eliminate recurring hazards. • Conduct and facilitate safety training and education for supervisors and field employees. • Deliver clear safety messages to audiences of 10‑60 employees in meetings and presentations. • Administer recordkeeping and documentation for safety training compliance. • Recommend safe work processes and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.

What You Bring

The position is based in a professional office environment but requires extensive travel throughout South Florida to visit yards, lead safety meetings, and perform crew observations. Work is primarily sedentary with occasional lifting of up to 50 lb. • Minimum: Associate degree (or equivalent) and 3 years related experience, including 3‑5 years in the electrical utility industry; fluent in English and Spanish; knowledge of construction standards and business management principles. • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree; 4+ years experience; OSHA Outreach certification; CHST or CUSP certification.
