About the Role
The Sr. Subcontracts Administrator will oversee the full range of subcontract administration activities, from qualifying suppliers to issuing and evaluating proposals and maintaining subcontract files. The role ensures seamless integration of subcontract work with program cost, schedule, technical, and quality objectives across multiple projects. Key responsibilities include managing subcontract performance, serving as the primary point of contact between subcontractors and project teams, and overseeing the entire procurement cycle. The administrator will lead supplier negotiations, control costs, develop sourcing strategies and vendor scorecards, and measure delivery performance. Additional duties involve market research, ad‑hoc analysis for senior leadership, implementing efficiency initiatives, and supporting business‑development proposals. • Manage subcontract performance across cost, schedule, technical, and quality dimensions. • Act as primary liaison between subcontractors and project management teams. • Oversee the complete procurement cycle and coordinate with technical and supplier groups. • Lead negotiations with suppliers, focusing on cost avoidance and price analysis. • Create sourcing strategies, vendor scorecards, and monitor delivery performance. • Perform market research and ad‑hoc analyses to inform senior leadership. • Implement GR/IR processes to ensure timely payments to suppliers. • Provide procurement expertise to support business‑development proposals. • Develop and track internal performance metrics to drive efficiency and KPI improvement. • Collaborate effectively within diverse, team‑of‑teams environments.

What You Bring
KBR is seeking a Sr. Subcontracts Administrator who embodies the company’s Belong, Connect, Grow philosophy. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s a plus) and possess at least ten years of procurement and subcontract management experience, including six to eight years managing Master Service Agreements and complex subcontract agreements. Required expertise includes writing scope of work, understanding specifications, Statements of Work, and various contract types (IDIQ, Cost‑Reimbursable, Fixed‑Price). Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and experience with US Government contracts, LOGCAP/AFCAP, and DCMA audits are highly desirable. Preferred qualifications include government contractor experience, proposal support, and managing international supplier relationships. Strong analytical skills for cost and price analysis, proficiency in developing internal metrics, and the ability to implement GR/IR strategies are valued. Excellent written and verbal communication, project management, negotiation, conflict resolution, and attention to detail are essential. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with 10+ years in procurement/subcontracts. • Possess 6‑8 years of experience managing Master Service Agreements and complex subcontract agreements. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of FAR, DFAR, IDIQ contracts, and US Government contracting. • Exhibit excellent communication, project management, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
