About the Role

The primary role is to safely operate a heavy-duty truck on transfer routes, transporting waste containers between locations. Drivers must ensure vehicle safety, comply with all regulatory requirements, and complete assigned routes efficiently. Drivers are responsible for inspecting their vehicles before and after trips, reporting unsafe conditions, and communicating any incidents to management. They work closely with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency, handle customer requests, dump and clean containers, position them correctly, and complete all required documentation at the end of each route. • Operate a heavy‑duty truck safely, complying with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report and report any issues. • Immediately report unsafe situations, incidents, accidents, or property damage to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Participate in scheduled trainings, briefings, and meetings as required. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and address problem or unsafe accounts. • Follow assigned routes, dump containers, clean customer sites, and reposition containers correctly. • Submit customer tickets for excess yardage and complete all required documentation at route end. • Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager promptly. • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle throughout the shift.

No formal education or prior experience is required, but a valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) and a clean driving record are mandatory.
