About the Role
The incumbent will prepare components and apply protective finishes in line with technical specifications and company quality standards. Johnson Controls enhances the intelligence of buildings by delivering a full range of systems, digital solutions, software and services that make structures safer, more comfortable, more efficient and sustainable, helping customers focus on their core missions. • Operate spray and coating equipment to apply protective or decorative finishes. • Prepare and apply stencils, decals, and other decorative items on finished products. • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate paint application. • Inspect surfaces for contamination before coating. • Select, mix, and apply high‑performance protective coatings using spray, brush, or roll methods. • Clean equipment and perform routine maintenance as needed. • Follow Silent‑Aire safety program and Alberta OHS regulations. • Maintain WHMIS certification.

What You Bring
Applicants should possess technical or vocational training and have proven experience as an industrial painter, particularly with sheet‑metal surfaces and spray‑gun operation. • Demonstrated experience painting sheet metal and using a spray gun in an industrial setting. • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. • Physically able to lift and move equipment or supplies over 25 lb and distinguish colors.
