About the Role

As the primary HR point of contact for assigned business units, the HRBP builds trusted relationships, coaches managers, and ensures consistent engagement, development, and support of the workforce while adhering to labor standards and company policies. The role also collaborates with cross‑functional teams to deliver HR initiatives that improve processes and drive organizational success. • Align HR strategy with business goals as a strategic partner to leaders. • Provide HR guidance to geographically dispersed teams while respecting local requirements. • Lead talent and engagement initiatives, including onboarding, career development, and recognition programs. • Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract and onboard top talent for defense programs. • Use HR data and analytics for workforce planning and forecasting. • Manage employee relations by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and coaching managers. • Maintain accurate HRIS records, streamline workflows, and drive technology‑enabled improvements. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, focusing on Service Contract Act and Davis‑Bacon Act. • Participate in HR projects such as policy updates and change‑management initiatives. • Deliver training and resources to empower managers and employees. • Build relationships and influence across all organizational levels. • Solve problems proactively, balancing strategic insight with hands‑on execution. • Leverage data and dashboards to tell stories and drive results. • Navigate multicultural, multi‑time‑zone, and matrixed team environments.

What You Bring

They are data‑savvy, comfortable using metrics to drive outcomes, and skilled at working across cultures, time zones, and matrixed environments. • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR generalist or business partner experience. • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and experience handling investigations and manager coaching. • Experience in recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee development initiatives. • Proficiency with HRIS, MS Office, and HR analytics/reporting tools. • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • HR certification (PHR, SHRM‑CP, or equivalent). • Experience in defense, aerospace, or government contracting, with knowledge of ITAR/EAR. • Familiarity with Service Contract Act/Davis‑Bacon Act wage determinations. • Experience supporting multi‑site/global teams and cultural fluency. • Background in labor relations or union environments and enterprise HRIS implementation.

Benefits

The position is based in Rockville, MD with a hybrid schedule that allows occasional remote work. Salary ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, plus bonus eligibility, and benefits begin on the first day of employment. Employees receive three weeks of paid vacation, sick days, floating holidays and standard holidays, with travel requirements of approximately 10 %.
