Cleaner, Full Time 3rd Shift

About the Role

Typical duties include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors and other interior surfaces, as well as operating light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines with their attachments. The Cleaner also vacuums rugs in offices and public areas, spot‑cleans daily and shampoos rugs when directed. Additional responsibilities involve dusting and cleaning furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all horizontal surfaces, with periodic high dusting. The Cleaner washes windowsills, interior glass, doors, partitions, and specified windows, and maintains entrance door glass and trim. Bathroom upkeep is performed daily, including damp‑wiping glass surfaces, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet‑paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, and sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing floors. The Cleaner monitors for defects such as clogged urinals or lights out and reports them to supervisors. • Sweep, mop, and clean interior floors using hand tools and commercial floor machines. • Dust and clean furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, light fixtures, and high‑reach surfaces. • Clean interior glass, windowsills, and entrance doors. • Maintain and restock bathrooms, service fixtures, and report issues. • Collect and dispose of building trash, replace liners, and manage waste containers. • Remove snow and ice from building entrances and walkways. • Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, polishing wood/leather, and wall washing. • Operate cleaning equipment safely, with attention to detail and high energy.

What You Bring

No previous cleaning experience is required; the successful candidate must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.
