About the Role
• Repair heavy trucks, heavy equipment, and asphalt equipment. • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with engines, brakes, transmissions, torque converters, hydraulic systems, drivetrains, HVAC, and electrical systems. • Inspect machines for defects and perform routine scheduled maintenance. • Complete maintenance and work order repair records. • Perform welding and fabrication as needed. • Manage heavy equipment parts, including cataloging, procurement, handling, storage, and cost control. • Conduct housekeeping duties and work area checks. • Operate mobile equipment and company vehicles on public highways and job sites. • Maintain uncompromising safety standards in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. • Build effective working relationships with coworkers and vendors.

What You Bring
The company is seeking a Field Technician / Mechanic II/III for its Tuscumbia, AL / North Alabama operations, reporting to the Shop/Maintenance Manager, to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation across existing and growing operations. • Minimum three years’ experience on construction equipment and on‑road trucks; ability to work independently and schedule own tasks. • Preferred experience with DOT annual inspections. • Physical ability to stoop, push, kneel, twist, lift 70 lb, and work at heights up to 20 ft in all weather conditions.
