Senior Telecoms Engineer

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with design, construction and operations groups to deliver telecom infrastructure that meets project timelines and budget constraints. They will apply safety‑in‑design principles, coordinate defect remediation, and oversee testing activities both at factory and on site. • Manage end-to-end delivery of telecommunications infrastructure package. • Prepare engineering design documents, specifications, drawings and scopes of work within budget and schedule. • Review site design processes, ensure Safety in Design compliance, and coordinate site acquisition. • Produce scope of work documents and bill of materials; identify and rectify defects. • Conduct factory and site testing of telecom systems. • Lead subcontractor management and coordination. • Design, construct and integrate telecom systems, radio sites and power infrastructure.

What You Bring

We seek an enthusiastic, self‑motivated Senior Telecoms Infrastructure Engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment. Based in Brisbane, the engineer will join the engineering design and delivery team to support the communications system infrastructure package, ensuring constructable designs, developing scopes of work, ordering materials and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Applicants must bring at least ten years of deployment or project engineering experience on large‑scale Australian rail projects, an engineering degree qualified for full membership with Engineers Australia, and proven expertise in designing, constructing and integrating telecommunications systems, including radio sites and power infrastructure. Strong organisational abilities, the capacity to manage multiple priorities, and collaborative communication skills are essential. • Leverage 10+ years experience on large‑scale Australian rail projects. • Hold an engineering degree with full Engineers Australia membership. • Demonstrate strong organizational, multi‑tasking and deadline‑driven skills. • Communicate collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.
