About the Role

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy‑duty equipment in the field. • Perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer and company standards. • Troubleshoot diesel, hydraulic, electrical, drivetrain, and DEF systems. • Conduct BIT and DOT inspections and use electronic diagnostic tools. • Maintain accurate service records and communicate equipment status and safety concerns. • Service equipment such as excavators, skid steers, backhoes, dump trucks, crane trucks, bucket trucks, trenchers, bore rigs, and arrow boards.

What You Bring

Baker Electric is seeking a highly skilled and self‑motivated Mobile Heavy‑Duty Equipment Mechanic with a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction and utility equipment. • Occasional out‑of‑town travel as needed. • Minimum qualifications: 5+ years experience as a heavy‑duty or mobile equipment mechanic, high school diploma or GED, advanced mechanical and diagnostic knowledge, ability to read technical manuals, valid driver’s license. • Preferred qualifications: CDL Class A or B, ASE T2‑T6 certifications, OEM certifications (CAT, Deere, Komatsu, Cummins, Allison), IFPS Hydraulic certification, California BIT Inspector certification, OSHA 10 or 30, welding certification up to ½ inch, EPA 609 certification, CPR/First Aid.
