About the Role

The role emphasizes strict adherence to MasTec’s Health, Safety, and Environmental policies as well as industry standards such as OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, and ANSI. You will work on tower installations, maintenance, and operations, collaborating with crews that use cranes, helicopters, and gin poles to erect and service a variety of tower types. • Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom equipment. • Follow MasTec Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and industry standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI). • Climb towers and ladders, erect various tower types, and assist with crane, helicopter, and gin‑pole operations. • Off‑load material, inventory, and prepare/clean sites for construction. • Install carriers, antennas (microwave, VHF, UHF, cellular, FM), and transmission lines (coaxial, hardline, waveguide). • Assemble monopoles, weld and knock‑down self‑support and guyed towers, and install foundations, grounding, and conduit systems. • Mentor less‑experienced technicians and perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• High school diploma with at least 4 years of tower experience. • Ability to climb towers, lift 50 lb, and work up to 12 hours per shift. • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record per company policy. • Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and follow instructions. • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations; NWSA certification is a plus. • Strong problem‑solving skills, focus on quality, and teamwork orientation.
