About the Role

The Springfield Roadway Team Lead manages the roadway design staff on Missouri DOT and local agency projects, builds client relationships, pursues new work, and oversees project delivery. The role continues as a Senior Project Manager, leading feasibility studies through final design and construction for urban and rural municipal projects, highways, and interchanges, and coordinating surveys, grading, drainage, structures and utilities. • Manage and supervise medium‑to‑large roadway design teams. • Build and maintain client relationships with MoDOT, cities, and counties. • Pursue new projects, prepare proposals, scopes, budgets and schedules. • Lead feasibility analysis, conceptual alignment, geometric design, and construction phases. • Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts including survey, grading, drainage, structures, and utilities. • Ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet quality assurance standards.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), have at least seven years of relevant experience, and possess strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Professional registration may be required. Preferred experience includes earned‑value project management and prior work at an A/E/C firm. • Communicate verbally and in writing with clients, sub‑consultants, and junior staff. • Hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and minimum 7 years of transportation design experience. • Demonstrate highway and interchange design expertise and familiarity with MoDOT processes. • Exhibit strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities. • Possess professional registration or licensing where required. • Preferred: experience with earned‑value project management and prior A/E/C firm background.
