About the Role

• Assists licensed electricians by handling materials, prepping work areas, and supporting installations under supervision • Performs conduit bending and helps install switchgear, panels, starters, and other electrical equipment • Pulls, routes, and terminates electrical wire across job sites • Installs lighting fixtures, controls, and electrical devices • Troubleshoots electrical systems with guidance from supervising electricians • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment • Follows all safety protocols, including proper PPE usage and hazard awareness • Supports work performed at heights or in confined spaces using appropriate ladders and equipment

What You Bring

About the Role – As an Electrical Apprentice at Zekelman Industries, you’ll support licensed electricians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems across industrial construction projects. This role is perfect for someone who’s eager to learn, has a strong work ethic, and is committed to developing hands‑on skills in a fast‑paced, safety‑driven environment. You’ll gain valuable experience working with electrical systems, tools, and equipment while building the foundation for a future career in the trades. Who You Are – High school graduate or equivalent preferred, with reliable transportation to job sites. Must be physically capable of lifting 50 + pounds, working at heights and in confined spaces, and willing to work in all weather conditions. Availability for 40+ hours per week, including overtime and night shifts, is required. Candidates should be punctual, dependable, detail‑oriented, and able to use hand tools, ladders, scaffolds, and elevated platforms up to 90 ft. An Electrical Apprentice License must be obtained and maintained, and a strong commitment to safety and learning under supervision is essential. Physical Abilities – Frequent crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, and sitting are required. The role routinely involves lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds, as well as repetitive arm, hand, and finger movements for tool use. Work is performed in both open construction areas and confined environments. • Reads and understands safety rules, policies, and material safety data sheets (MSDS) • Travels to construction sites and performs physical labor as needed
