About the Role
The carpenter designs, constructs, erects, installs, and repairs wood‑based structures using pneumatic and electric tools, fastening components with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives and verifying work accuracy. The role is performed in plant operations or construction sites, requiring the carpenter to learn safety hazards and operate various hand and power tools safely. • Read and interpret blueprints/sketches; prepare reports. • Instruct laborers and trade helpers. • Build and set forms, tie rebar, construct scaffolds, and install batter boards. • Use levels, measure, set screeds, and perform finish carpentry. • Operate hand and power tools (electric, gas, pneumatic) safely. • Inspect work areas and conduct repairs or maintenance. • Assist other craft workers as needed. • Perform repetitive hand/arm motions; climb, balance on scaffolds, stairs, ladders. • Work on uneven, muddy, sandy, or rocky surfaces; in confined spaces and adverse weather. • Read, write, and comprehend directions and safety policies. • Perform math calculations and detail‑oriented inspections. • Make decisions and concentrate amid distractions.

What You Bring
The job demands physical stamina for lifting and moving materials, climbing and working in diverse environmental conditions, as well as strong communication, reading, mathematical, and decision‑making skills to follow instructions and maintain quality. • Lift, push, pull up to 50 lb regularly; occasional lifts up to 100 lb. • Communicate effectively with management and supervision.
