About the Role

Technician III is responsible for operating the facility, including mechanical and supporting systems, performing structured inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, and routine and on-demand services on facility mechanical equipment and other systems. The role also requires work to be performed in accordance with established processes and practices while complying with internal and external requirements such as environmental, health and safety, and fire protection. Key duties include troubleshooting equipment, providing observations on conditions and recommending enhancements, and executing regular monitoring inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance to meet uptime objectives and maintain asset integrity. The technician manages the full work-order life cycle, records resolutions in the service maintenance management database, and assists in implementing the preventative maintenance program. Additional responsibilities involve supporting tenant satisfaction, participating in facility-related projects, ensuring compliance with corporate and legislative policies, maintaining tools, and submitting expenditures promptly. • Provide observations on facility, mechanical and electrical equipment conditions and suggest enhancements or repairs. • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other mechanical systems. • Conduct regular equipment inspections and facility walkthroughs to monitor system health. • Manage work orders from dispatch through completion and log resolution data in the maintenance database. • Support implementation of the preventative maintenance program and ensure deficiencies are recorded and escalated. • Deliver quality service to enhance tenant and customer satisfaction. • Participate in facility-related projects while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and fire-protection policies. • Maintain tools, arrange repairs or replacements, and submit expenditures in a timely manner. • Mentor lower-level technicians and provide guidance for their development. • Work shifts, on-call standby, and respond to emergency call-outs, adhering to PPE and safety requirements.

What You Bring

The position requires a high school diploma with trades training or certification, at least three years of experience in preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, pneumatic or hydraulic systems, and solid knowledge of facility operations. Candidates must possess a strong EHS mindset, effective communication skills, and the ability to mentor lower-level technicians. Required credentials include a valid driver’s license, ability to obtain security clearance, and one of the listed professional accreditations such as Building Operator Certification or a provincial HVAC/apprentice license. • Hold Building Operator Certification or equivalent from an accredited institution. • Hold a provincial HVAC or apprenticeship license (e.g., Gasfitter I & II, refrigeration license).

Benefits

This is a regular full-time role offering an hourly wage ranging from $28.30 to $33.29, with the starting rate determined by the candidate’s competencies, experience, education, and performance related to the role.
