About the Role
Daily responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors and other interior surfaces, using both light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines. The role also involves vacuuming rugs in offices and public areas, spot‑cleaning and shampooing rugs as directed, and dusting furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high‑dusting. Additionally, the cleaner washes interior windowsills, glass, doors, partitions, and specified windows, and performs bathroom cleaning and replenishment of paper supplies each day. The cleaner monitors for issues such as clogged urinals or non‑functional lights and reports them to supervisors, collects building trash and replaces liners in waste baskets, and removes snow from steps and walkways as needed. Periodic tasks include high dusting, polishing leather and wood surfaces, and wall washing. Any other duties assigned by management are also performed. • Sweep, mop, and wash interior floors using commercial buffers and shampoo machines. • Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot‑clean and shampoo rugs as directed. • Wash interior windowsills, glass, doors, partitions, and specified windows. • Clean bathrooms, restock paper supplies, and perform standard bathroom sanitation procedures. • Monitor and report defects such as clogged urinals or non‑functioning lights. • Collect building trash daily, replace liners, and place waste in approved containers. • Sweep or shovel snow from building entrances, walkways, and sidewalks as needed. • Perform periodic high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing. • Follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and collaborate as part of a team. • Operate cleaning tools and equipment, including a backpack‑style portable vacuum. • Maintain attention to detail, organization, high energy, and endurance.

Employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and competitive hourly pay ranging from $17.81 to $20.00, consistent with minimum wage and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
