About the Role
The T Repairs Electrician works across multiple sites in the region, often moving locations daily or weekly. Duties are performed independently or in small teams to install, modernise, and repair elevators and escalators while meeting safety and quality standards. Key responsibilities include installing and running electrical cables within lift shafts, wiring shafts and cars, installing car doors, connecting motors and controllers, and troubleshooting electrical issues per installation manuals. The role also requires effective communication with team members, managers, site managers, and contractors, adherence to Environmental Health and Safety policies, hazard reporting, maintaining quality standards, identifying process improvements, ensuring compliance with codes such as SAA Lift Code AS1735 and AS3000, and completing weekly timesheets accurately. • Install and run electrical cables, wire lift shafts and cars, and connect motors and controllers. • Troubleshoot electrical issues using manuals and ensure compliance with SAA Lift Code AS1735 and AS3000. • Communicate effectively with team members, managers, site managers, and contractors while following EH&S policies. • Complete weekly timesheets accurately.
