About the Role
The EMEA Electrical Business Class Lead will shape HDR’s electrical engineering practice across the region, building a best‑in‑class community of practice and establishing tools, standards, and workflows that drive quality and innovation. The role partners with key stakeholders, mentors technical experts, and leads knowledge‑sharing initiatives while assisting project teams with design oversight on complex assignments. • Drive the community of practice for electrical engineering across EMEA. • Identify and develop a network of technical and subject‑matter experts. • Create and implement mentoring and succession strategies for technical expertise. • Design communication strategies to connect global professionals for knowledge sharing. • Develop and maintain project delivery tools, standards, best practices, and workflows. • Collaborate with Digital Delivery on digital content and workflow integration. • Lead design quality control reviews and quality initiatives to foster a quality‑oriented culture. • Ensure project teams leverage subject‑matter experts, providing design oversight on complex projects. • Promote innovation and thought leadership within the practice. • Provide strategic pursuit and interview support, identifying qualified staff as needed. • Recruit, retain, and develop top technical talent. • Establish HDR as the market‑leading electrical engineering provider recognized by clients and competitors. • Pursue awards, publications, speaking engagements, and leadership roles in technical societies. • Collaborate with business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers.

What You Bring
Success in this position requires a bachelor’s degree in a professional, architecture, engineering or related field, at least ten years of experience, and a professional engineering registration. Candidates should be committed to HDR’s values of quality improvement, collaborative teamwork, and active participation in the employee‑owned culture. • Hold a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering (preferred). • Possess a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related professional field. • Bring at least 10 years of relevant experience. • Maintain a professional engineering registration and experience managing diverse teams. • Demonstrate active participation in HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
