About the Role

Manufacturing Services ensures safe, capable, compliant and available assets to minimise customer disruption and maintain a safe workplace. The central team enables operational excellence through people, processes, tools, systems and service‑contract delivery. This manager will help embed those capabilities across the organisation. Key duties include collaborating across business boundaries, developing functional strategies and designing best‑practice processes and standards. The manager will implement HSE policy, uphold legislative and regulatory requirements, and provide specialist technical expertise in asset management and functional safety. They will also champion digital tools, drive continuous improvement, solve complex problems and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Primary focus areas cover HSE regulatory compliance, engineering processes and functional safety, asset lifecycle management, digital reporting and CMMS, technology assurance, people capability and risk reduction. The role also involves leading global Communities of Practice and supporting procurement and financial activities related to service contracts. • Lead cross‑functional collaboration to deliver Manufacturing Services objectives. • Develop and execute functional strategies, processes and standards. • Implement HSE policies and ensure regulatory compliance across assets. • Provide technical expertise in asset lifecycle, machinery and functional safety. • Leverage digital tools (e.g., IBM Maximo, Power BI) for performance reporting. • Drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma/Lean methodologies. • Coach and mentor Manufacturing Services teams and lead Communities of Practice. • Manage procurement and financial activities, including supplier relationships.

The role sits within the central Manufacturing Services team of Civil Aerospace Manufacturing Operations.
