About the Role
• Promote safety first by exhibiting visible safety behaviors, sharing lessons learned, and using Mace's HSW framework. • Ensure compliance with health and safety rules and regulations relevant to the project portfolio. • Foster a diverse, inclusive working environment and prioritize team wellbeing. • Implement planning and scheduling strategies that align client, contractor, and vendor roles and expectations. • Collaborate with design, engineering, procurement, construction, and estimating teams to align estimates and resource plans. • Participate in project risk reviews and provide qualitative and quantitative scheduling inputs. • Contribute to the creation of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to align engineering, cost estimates, contracts, and resource planning. • Develop end‑to‑end scope activities, identify key milestones, constraints, critical permits, and long‑lead items. • Facilitate pull‑planning sessions and maintain an integrated master schedule. • Create resource‑loaded and cost‑loaded baseline schedules and update them using earned‑value data. • Analyze schedules, evaluate critical‑path activities, and conduct spot‑check site inspections. • Tailor planning and scheduling contractual requirements during tendering and contract negotiations. • Support planning for long‑lead equipment procurement, supply‑chain, and permitting processes. • Participate in value‑engineering, constructability reviews, and 4D BIM workshops where applicable. • Produce periodic planning and scheduling reports, including critical‑path, look‑ahead, histograms, and earned‑value analysis. • Provide inputs to weekly owner/architect/contractor (OAC) meetings. • Identify schedule variances, escalate impacts, and recommend corrective actions and recovery plans. • Review and assure the quality of schedule inputs from all parties involved. • Engage in change‑management, track schedule changes, assess impacts, and advise on approvals. • Prepare post‑startup as‑built schedules and capture lessons learned. • Negotiate, resolve, and close out change orders, quality issues, or disputes related to scheduling. • Network, innovate, and leverage Mace Group's knowledge hubs, centers of excellence, and best‑practice resources. • Coordinate multiple schedule inputs into a master schedule platform and deliver status reports as required.

What You Bring
Within our consult business we combine leading‑edge practical expertise with project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential in every project. Mace is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Program Schedule Director for a role based in Oregon, reporting to the Mace Project Controls Director. The position starts remote for the first twelve months and then moves full‑time on‑site with the client in Hillsboro, Oregon, and requires expert use of Primavera P6, deep knowledge of construction means and methods, and extensive experience leading planning teams on mega‑capital portfolios in the life‑sciences and oil‑and‑gas sectors. • Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation, written, and interpersonal skills. • Exhibit tenacity and drive to add value and create solutions. • Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent discipline. • Bring at least ten years of planning and scheduling experience in utilities, infrastructure, and large multi‑phase capital projects. • Possess knowledge of multiple project delivery methods and a strong understanding of all construction disciplines. • Have a proven track record of scheduling large capital projects ($500 million or greater). • Experience developing, reviewing, and baselining Level 1‑5 schedules using WBS and activity codes, with critical‑path analysis. • Proficient with industrial scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Pertmaster. • Skilled in facilitating interactive planning or pull‑planning sessions with all stakeholders. • Demonstrate high self‑organization, coordination, and planning abilities. • Knowledgeable of PMI, Lean Construction, and/or AACEI planning and scheduling principles.
