About the Role

The Assistant Property Manager for multifamily communities ensures that properties remain market‑ready and delivers a high level of resident service. The role also involves building and motivating high‑performing teams to optimize property performance. In a fast‑paced environment, the Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager with day‑to‑day operations, including maintenance coordination, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy monitoring, marketing initiatives, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits. A key focus is providing superior customer service to residents and prospects, handling lease paperwork, tracking advertising effectiveness, and maintaining resident files. The assistant also resolves conflicts promptly to sustain a positive living environment. Leadership duties include overseeing the on‑site team, enforcing Cushman & Wakefield policies, interviewing, hiring, and coaching staff, and ensuring effective communication. Competencies required are strong oral and written communication, computer literacy with Microsoft Office, general office and bookkeeping skills, and the ability to set and achieve leasing goals. • Ensure smooth daily operations of the community, including maintenance and capital improvements • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, and vacancy management • Deliver superior customer service to residents and prospects to boost satisfaction and renewals • Complete lease and renewal paperwork according to company standards • Track advertising performance and prospect traffic • Oversee on‑site staff hiring, training, coaching, and policy compliance • Maintain resident files and resolve conflicts promptly • Manage community budget, expenses, and financial reporting • Collaborate with leasing team to meet marketing and leasing goals

What You Bring

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and bring three or more years of property management experience plus one year of supervisory experience.
