About the Role

The Porter role in the Residential Services Department is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the clubhouse’s restrooms, public spaces, and common areas, contributing to the overall Discovery Land Company experience for members and staff. • Clean restrooms, foyer, furniture and public areas. • Use specialty equipment (carpet extractors, scrubbers, floor machines) following safety guidelines. • Polish, restore, seal, and finish flooring such as marble and granite. • Perform carpet extraction and spot cleaning. • Operate hand trucks and carts to move equipment and heavy furniture safely. • Properly handle and dispose of cleaning chemicals; conduct bio‑hazard clean‑up. • Move objects up to 75 lb occasionally and perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, and lifting. • Provide courteous service and manage setup/teardown of banquet equipment and furniture. • Retrieve materials for special events quickly and efficiently. • Clean and maintain banquet venues before and after events; assist with inventory control. • Safely drive and maintain vehicles used for transporting event materials. • Assist other banquet staff, perform side work, and keep service areas stocked and sanitary.

What You Bring

• Dust ceiling vents, wall decorations, and high/low surfaces. • Communicate tasks verbally and in writing with supervisors during shifts. • Prior hospitality, housekeeping, or special‑events experience preferred. • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong communication skills. • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. • Team player who remains calm during busy periods. • Proficiency in English; additional languages a plus. • Physical ability to work indoor/outdoor for >8 hours, stand, walk, and lift ≥50 lb (occasionally up to 75 lb).
