About the Role

The GOS Technical Support Engineer serves as the primary outward‑facing representative for Schneider Electric, interacting directly with clients and partners to ensure long‑term satisfaction with our grid‑operation solutions. The role involves facilitating complex technical discussions, translating difficult concepts for diverse audiences, and advocating for customers within internal teams. • Member of the Technical Support Team for North American GOS customers • Accountable for maintaining and troubleshooting large‑scale complex operation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance for customer‑specific software solutions • Act as a true customer advocate to internal support and development teams while resolving complex technical software issues • Help system administrators during issue investigation and resolution (off‑site and on‑site troubleshooting) • Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, customers, and sub‑contractors • Maintain knowledge base of resolution paths and known issues accessible both internally and externally • Support 24x7 critical clients via on‑call rotation • Occasional domestic and international travel to further grow and strengthen relationships with customers • Collaboration with top world experts in GIS/ADMS utility industries • Collaboration with IT experts in GIS/ADMS fields from our company

What You Bring

We look for professionals with a strong background in SCADA, ADMS, and DERMS, who possess solid facilitation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred, though relevant experience can substitute, and candidates should have 1‑3 years of SCADA support experience, including knowledge of industrial communication protocols and IT networking. • Thorough documentation of all customer interactions including troubleshooting tasks and results • Must have previous experience supporting enterprise software solutions • Basic knowledge about distributed software architecture • Advanced knowledge of hardware, OS management, virtualization, networking, security, IT operations and automation, data management • Bachelor of Science degree in CS or CIS preferred; relevant experience may substitute • Minimum of 1‑3 years’ experience working with and maintaining SCADA systems; EcoStruxure ADMS 3.x experience highly beneficial • Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and ICCP • Basic understanding of IT networking concepts including TCP/IP, firewalls, switches, and routers • Safety‑conscious with familiarity of industry safety standards and adherence to protocols • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and research skills • High level of professionalism in oral and written communication • Ability to manage overall technical support satisfaction of several key clients simultaneously • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with peers, management, and other departments • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment • Environment to learn, excel, and drive continual improvements in processes benefiting our customers

For this U.S.-based position, the expected compensation range is $90,000‑$120,000 per year, including base pay and a short‑term incentive plan.
