About the Role

The Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician provides technical leadership for the installation, repair, and optimization of automated packaging and distribution equipment. The role collaborates with the Operations Maintenance team to solve complex problems and guide project execution. Day‑to‑day responsibilities focus on safety, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement. The technician oversees maintenance planning, work‑order management, and training initiatives while supporting flexible shift schedules and occasional travel. • Lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Design solutions for complex problems and manage related projects. • Train, mentor, and develop work plans for service and contract technicians. • Perform preventive‑maintenance audits and troubleshoot conveyor systems, relay logic, control components, sensors, and motor starters. • Create and close work orders, documenting labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts usage. • Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. • Pushing/pulling equipment up to 100 lb.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a high‑school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of preventative‑maintenance experience, three years of blueprint and schematic reading, and two years of work‑order management, plus the ability to work flexible schedules and lift up to 49 lb. Preferred credentials comprise an associate’s or higher degree in mechanical or electrical fields, five‑plus years with automated conveyors and controls, leadership or vendor‑management experience, and familiarity with robotic maintenance, MHE safety standards, and CMMS. • Travel up to 20% and work shifts up to 12 hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays. • High‑school diploma or equivalent. • 3+ years preventative‑maintenance experience. • 3+ years reading blueprints and schematics. • 2+ years work‑order management. • Ability to work flexible schedules and lift up to 49 lb. • Associate’s or higher degree in mechanical/electrical field (preferred). • 5+ years experience with automated conveyors and controls (preferred). • 2+ years experience with electrical/electronic principles (preferred). • 4+ years apprenticeship or equivalent mechanical/electrical experience (preferred). • Leadership, vendor‑management, and robotic‑maintenance experience (preferred). • Experience with MHE safety standards and CMMS (preferred). • Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, walking, and standing. • Lifting parts/tools averaging 20 lb, up to 49 lb occasionally. • Working in cramped spaces, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, and vibration. • Standing on concrete for 10+ hour shifts and working at heights.
