About the Role

Core duties include performing work safely while handling new construction, maintenance, or repair jobs on transmission lines. The employee strings overhead wire, sets poles, anchors, and assists with structure assembly and disassembly. Additional responsibilities involve preserving company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order and completing any related tasks required to finish the job. • Perform new construction, maintenance, and repair of energized and de-energized transmission systems safely. • String overhead wire and set poles, anchors, and structures. • Operate and maintain company vehicles, equipment, and hand tools. • Follow all safety procedures, including PPE use, flag/tag protocols, and minimum approach distances. • Apply basic rigging, hand lines, knot tying, and Kellum grip techniques.

What You Bring

Candidates must be capable of rigorous physical labor, including lifting more than 50 lb, working at heights, and operating in confined spaces. A basic understanding of rigging, hand lines, knot tying, Kellum grips, and safe use of tools such as chainsaws and bush axes is required. Applicants should be familiar with DOT vehicle-inspection procedures, possess or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License, and be comfortable traveling long distances on short notice. The role demands regular communication, standing, walking, and the use of hands for handling equipment, while exposure to fumes, airborne particles, loud noise, vibration, and extreme weather conditions is common. Employees work outdoors at construction sites and must wear appropriate personal protective equipment according to established safety guidelines. Success in this position relies on being self-motivated, team-oriented, and customer-focused, while strictly adhering to company safety rules and policies. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and irregular schedules is expected.
