About the Role

Key responsibilities include formulating capture strategies, prospecting and developing proposals, and maintaining relationships with clients like WISDOT and local agencies. The role requires visible leadership, client advisory, staff mentorship, and enforcing company policies while managing projects from inception through contract closeout, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change management. Technical expertise is applied to studies, design efforts, quality control, interdisciplinary reviews, and the development of technical specifications and budgets. • Develop and execute project capture strategies, including teaming and resource planning. • Drive business development through prospecting, proposal creation, and client relationship management with WISDOT and local agencies. • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, promoting AECOM values internally and externally. • Manage and mentor project staff, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and risk management. • Provide technical expertise, conduct quality control reviews, and present complex solutions to clients. • Oversee project lifecycle from inception to contract closeout, including change management.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a BA/BS and at least ten years of relevant experience, including two years in a leadership role. Preferred qualifications include a degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering, a Professional Engineer license in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain within six months), fifteen-plus years of design and delivery experience, and five years in proposal development and client relationship management. Experience with design‑build delivery, transportation project management, and established relationships with Wisconsin's transportation agencies is essential. • Minimum: BA/BS and 10+ years of experience with at least 2 years of leadership. • Preferred: Civil/Transportation Engineering degree, WI PE license (or obtain within 6 months), 15+ years of design/delivery experience, 5+ years in business development. • Experience with design‑build delivery and transportation project management. • Established relationships with WISDOT and local municipalities (10+ years).
