About the Role

The engineer will be responsible for designing and managing water transmission, distribution, and treatment projects, including pumping stations and conveyance systems. They will lead project tasks, oversee permitting, coordinate construction, and communicate regularly with junior staff, clients, and regulatory agencies. The role also involves maintaining high-quality plans, monitoring budgets and schedules, ensuring regulatory compliance, and staying current with industry best practices. • Design water transmission, distribution, and treatment systems, including pumping stations and conveyance infrastructure. • Lead project design, permitting, and construction coordination while guiding less-experienced staff. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external clients to achieve project goals. • Produce high-quality plans and review the work of others for accuracy. • Develop work plans, manage budgets, and apply strong project-management principles. • Attend meetings and communicate with clients, government entities, and regulatory agencies. • Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely delivery. • Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members, clients, and subcontractors. • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in water and wastewater treatment. • Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Provide technical expertise on pump stations, pipelines, and treatment facility design. • Perform hydraulic modeling using tools such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, or InfoWater. • Manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
