About the Role
The Project Engineer will act as the site engineer and technical lead, supporting the Project Construction Manager and stepping in as site lead when needed. Responsibilities include producing reports and presentations, coordinating with contractors, client stakeholders, and internal SMEs to resolve field engineering challenges, and reviewing scope, estimates, schedule impacts, and pay applications. • Serve as Site Engineer and technical lead, supporting the Project Construction Manager and acting as site lead in their absence • Prepare written reports, presentations, and progress data for the construction site • Coordinate with contractors, client stakeholders, Parsons staff, and SMEs to resolve field engineering issues • Develop scope of work, estimates, and schedule impacts for field changes and support pay application reviews • Review and comment on construction techniques, quality control plans, safety plans, submittals, and environmental protection plans, providing recommendations • Coordinate responses to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs) • Participate in pre‑construction, quality‑control coordination, and progress meetings with contractors • Collaborate closely with the Site Team (Project Manager, Office Engineer, QA) and Parsons engineering staff to achieve project success

What You Bring
The organization is seeking experienced Project Engineers to join a major program and construction‑management team supporting a large government customer on a critical border‑security infrastructure project. The role provides Owner‑Agent Construction Management services—including program management, risk management, scheduling, cost estimating, progress reporting, quality assurance, and safety—for sites located near Tucson, Yuma, Welton, and AJO, Arizona, often in remote locations. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture; minimum 10 years of construction management experience • U.S. citizenship with ability to pass federal background checks and a valid driver’s license • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with large horizontal infrastructure projects • Proficiency with web‑based project management information systems (e.g., USACE RMS, Procore, Kahua) • Preferred: PE/RA registration, PMP or CCM certification, experience with federal agencies, remote project experience, recent Construction Quality Management course, and OSHA 30‑hour safety training
