About the Role
The Laborer performs a variety of tasks under close supervision of higher‑level employees, assisting with extra workload, covering absences, and supplementing crews to meet unusual changes in production or weather conditions. • Control traffic near, in, or around work zones. • Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards. • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials. • Load, unload, and distribute building materials or tools according to project plans or specifications. • Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout construction areas. • Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications using power and hand tools. • Tend pumps, compressors, or generators to provide power for tools, machinery, equipment, or to heat or move materials. • Clean tools, equipment, and work areas.
