About the Role
The role involves training team members to assemble and install sub‑assembly components for commercial HVAC products on an assembly line, ensuring safe and timely completion in line with codes and quality standards, and serving as the primary contact for line issues. Key duties include maintaining unit quality and productivity standards, inspecting proper assembly and installation of components such as EVAP coils, compressors, bases, filter racks, and ensuring correct voltage, brazing, and charging procedures. The employee trains staff accurately, keeps schedules and procedures current, schedules production to meet targets, prints and verifies work order packets, and confirms part availability. The position requires approving paperwork for sub‑assemblies and end‑of‑line checks, ensuring all documentation is signed off by Quality Team Leaders, staying updated on assembly procedures, enforcing safety and housekeeping standards, inspecting blueprints, communicating effectively with management and the team, using hand tools, performing minor repairs, and providing production backup as needed. Additional responsibilities involve completing AAON's Quality Team Leader program, demonstrating leadership and motivational skills, showing flexibility across multiple teams, offering problem‑solving assistance, building relationships, maintaining satisfactory attendance, working variable schedules and overtime, and complying with all company policies. • Train team members to assemble and install HVAC sub‑assembly components accurately and efficiently. • Ensure quality and productivity standards by inspecting assembly, installation, voltage, brazing, and charging procedures. • Maintain up‑to‑date unit schedules, assembly procedures, and verify work order packets and parts availability. • Approve paperwork for sub‑assemblies and end‑of‑line checks, ensuring all signatures and compliance. • Enforce warehouse safety, housekeeping standards, and conduct blueprint and drawing inspections. • Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and provide production backup support as needed. • Assist with problem‑solving, build team relationships, and adapt to variable schedules and overtime.

What You Bring
Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; additional education is advantageous. They must be able to perform all essential functions, meet the physical demands, assess work accuracy, and communicate effectively in written and spoken English. Physical demands include standing still for the majority of the shift, moving objects of 25‑50 pounds, navigating the manufacturing facility, operating heavy equipment, performing repetitive hand motions, climbing ladders or stairs, and working in various positions within tight spaces. • Complete AAON’s Quality Team Leader (QTL) program and demonstrate leadership and motivational skills. • Meet physical demands: stand 95% of time, lift 25‑50 lb, operate heavy tools, climb ladders, work in tight spaces. • Possess high school diploma or equivalent; 18 + years old; ability to communicate in written and spoken English.
