About the Role

The Labourer will support a dedicated work group on physically demanding tasks, including general labour duties, assisting with construction and maintenance of natural gas systems, and supporting the installation, repair, or replacement of gas lines and related equipment. They will also handle tools and equipment and respond to service-related or emergency situations as needed. • Perform general labour duties such as digging, lifting, carrying materials, and site clean‑up • Assist with construction, service, or maintenance activities related to natural gas systems • Support installation, repair, or replacement of gas lines, meters, and related equipment • Handle tools, materials, and equipment, including setup and basic maintenance • Respond to service‑related work or emergency situations as required

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a High School Diploma, GED, CAEC, or equivalent, and a valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean abstract. They must be able to meet pre-employment requirements such as background checks and drug screening, work outdoors, and perform physically active tasks. Prior experience as an apprentice gasfitter or in related trades is considered an asset. • Hands‑on experience in the gas utility sector • High School Diploma, GED, CAEC, or equivalent • Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence with clean abstract • Complete pre‑employment conditions (background check, alcohol and drug screening) • Ability to work outdoors and perform physically active tasks • Experience as apprentice gasfitter or in trades, hydrovac, concrete, general labor, landscaping, construction, mechanical, or field service (asset)

Benefits

We offer a full-time, 40-hour work week at $28.48 per hour, including 6% vacation pay and hands-on experience in the gas utility sector.
