About the Role

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Technician is responsible for essential EHS actions and initiatives, including system management, inspections, training, and records management. The role leads and assists with the implementation of the Management System of Environmental, Safety and Health (MESH) and uses MESH tools to drive improvements by participating in and co‑leading MESH teams. Key duties include facilitating EHS training, leading incident investigations, tracking and trending incident data for OSHA 300 logs, and entering corrective actions into the corporate reporting tool (MESH Prism) for monthly scorecards. The technician performs site‑level and workstation risk assessments, works with MESH Element Owners/Champions to provide technical guidance, and supports facility environmental performance systems such as wastewater permits, solid waste, storm‑water, and the powered industrial truck (PIT) program, all in support of a Zero Incident Culture. • Implement and co‑lead MESH system initiatives. • Facilitate and deliver EHS training programs. • Lead incident investigations and maintain OSHA 300 logs. • Enter corrective actions and generate monthly scorecards in MESH Prism. • Conduct site‑level and workstation risk assessments and apply controls. • Provide technical guidance to MESH Element Owners/Champions. • Support environmental compliance (wastewater permits, solid waste, storm‑water, etc.). • Manage the powered industrial truck (PIT) safety program. • Promote a Zero Incident Culture across the facility.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED, an associate’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety is preferred, and a minimum of one year of EHS experience. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX facility, possess experience with storm‑water, spill prevention, waste management, air permits, emergency response, EPCRA, lockout/tagout, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and process safety, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, organizational, facilitation, and Microsoft Office skills. Flexibility for overtime and the ability to influence without authority are also required. • Meet qualification standards: high school diploma/GED, ≥1 year EHS experience, residence within 50 mi of El Paso, relevant compliance experience, strong communication and Microsoft Office proficiency, and flexibility for overtime.
