About the Role
Each day you will maintain and repair trucks that serve more than 20 million customers across the United States, using modern tools and procedures to ensure reliable service for local communities. The position demands high technical skill, problem‑solving ability, and a commitment to safety. • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on various vehicles and equipment • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) • Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns • Conduct safety checks on vehicles • Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times • Assist senior mechanics with project work • Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate/OSHA standards

What You Bring
• 6 years of Diesel Mechanic & CNG experience • Waste industry experience as a mechanic • Ability to travel up to 90% within the market area • Assignments range from 1 to 4 weeks on site • 4 years of relevant work experience • Valid driver’s license • Minimum age of 18 • Legal eligibility to work in the United States • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position (with or without reasonable accommodations) • Successful completion of pre‑employment drug screen and physical • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team • Determined problem solver
