About the Role
The role involves performing system commissioning using Johnson Controls tools, troubleshooting basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems, and responding to warranty calls while delivering high‑level customer service. As a trusted advisor, the technician provides solutions to improve building efficiency and addresses service‑related items on site. Key tasks include loading controller software, conducting diagnostics on controllers and field devices, calibrating systems with electronic test equipment, and completing all required documentation, timesheets, and expense reports. The technician keeps management, contractors, and customers informed of progress, follows strict safety standards, and offers recommendations and quotes to optimize facility performance and identify upselling opportunities. • Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls tools. • Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls issues. • Respond to warranty calls and deliver high‑level customer service. • Load controller software and conduct diagnostics on controllers and field devices. • Calibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment. • Complete documentation, timesheets, expense reports, and as‑built records. • Communicate job progress to management, contractors, and customers. • Follow safety standards and attend required training. • Provide recommendations, solutions, and quotes to improve facility efficiency and identify upselling opportunities. • Work in a collaborative team environment with a Zero Harm safety commitment.

What You Bring
Applicants should have a vocational school, 4‑year program, or associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a related field, along with three years of industry experience (or one year in HVAC electronic/mechanical service). Required knowledge includes HVAC control systems, facilities management, site preparation, and peripheral equipment installation, plus strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, and proficiency with PC and HVAC programming software. • Hold a vocational school, 4‑year program, or associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or related field. • Possess three years of industry experience (or one year servicing electronic/mechanical HVAC systems). • Demonstrate knowledge of HVAC control systems, facilities management, site preparation, and peripheral equipment installation. • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Show leadership ability to support mechanics on non‑critical building automation equipment. • Proficient with PC and HVAC programming software.
