About the Role

The Construction Supervisor (CS) is a field leadership role that oversees three to six residential or small‑commercial solar installation crews. Reporting to the Branch Operations Manager, the CS ensures safety, quality, efficiency, and a positive customer experience while managing daily crew activities and delivering projects on schedule. Key duties include coordinating with project planners, optimizing crew structures, conducting pre‑construction reviews, monitoring and coaching on performance metrics, and leading safety and quality inspections. The CS also handles essential administrative tasks such as training documentation, project paperwork, purchase orders, and timecard entry, and works closely with warehouse staff to keep vehicles and materials stocked. • Maintain advanced knowledge of electrical and general construction codes as the branch subject‑matter expert. • Coordinate with the Branch Operations Manager to adjust construction capacity as needed. • Collaborate with the Project Planner to ensure efficient execution of the construction schedule. • Organize and optimize crew structures and work schedules for maximum productivity. • Conduct pre‑construction project reviews to determine resource requirements. • Communicate KPI targets and results, and manage construction incentive contests. • Review crew KPIs, provide feedback, and manage performance of field staff. • Lead training for field construction staff on safety, quality, customer service, efficiency, and administration. • Perform quality control and safety inspections, delivering feedback to staff and management. • Complete administrative duties such as training documentation, inspection records, project documentation, purchase orders, and timecard entry. • Run weekly safety "Tool Box Talk" meetings covering electrical safety, fall protection, and PPE usage. • Partner with warehouse personnel to ensure accurate stocking of vehicles and project materials. • Lead mechanical and electrical work on roof‑mounted and ground‑mounted solar projects. • Interact professionally with customers, addressing questions and concerns courteously. • Accompany inspectors, walk them through projects, and discuss NEC code details as required. • Document and complete service calls when needed and assist on project installations.

What You Bring

Applicants must have at least five years of construction experience, including two years in a leadership capacity, and hold an Electrical Certification License. Strong mechanical and electrical skills, proficiency with MS Office and project management tools, and up‑to‑date CPR/First Aid certifications are required. Candidates must possess excellent communication, organizational, and people‑management abilities, a clean driving record, and be at least 21 years old. • Possess at least five years of construction experience, including two years in a leadership role. • Hold an Electrical Certification License and maintain up‑to‑date CPR/First Aid certification. • Demonstrate strong mechanical/construction skills and proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and MS Project. • Maintain a clean driving record, a valid driver’s license, and be 21 years of age or older. • Ability to lift 50 lb frequently, climb a 20‑foot ladder, and work in various outdoor conditions.
