About the Role

• Manage the pre‑contract tender process, including assessment, queries and issuing the contract award recommendation report. • Provide robust estimates aligned to scope with appropriate risk allowances. • Manage commercial inputs to procurement, ensuring strategies are developed and agreed. • Administer contracts in line with requirements, handling communications, payments, compensation events and programme submissions. • Proactively manage budget and cost control with a ‘can do’ attitude. • Proactively manage project and programme risk, ensuring mitigation plans are implemented. • Develop strong client relationships across the organisation. • Support internal business development initiatives. • Commercially manage post‑contract projects from award to final account, including budget control, forecasts, payment assessments and compensation events.

What You Bring

• Own accurate commercial reporting. • Hold a Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent. • Extensive experience with NEC3 or NEC4 ECC main Option A, C or E for project delivery, administration and management. • Demonstrable understanding and practical application of NEC3 or NEC4 ECC main Option A, C or E. • Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) qualification. • Experience using contract management software such as CEMAR. • Stakeholder management experience. • Willingness to travel to and work in the client’s office(s) in Cumbria. • Desirable: NEC3 or NEC4 ECC accredited Project Manager. • Desirable: Knowledge of the water/wastewater sector, including the Water Industry Act 1991 and the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 section 84. • Desirable: Ability to make well‑reasoned, timely decisions based on client and team needs. • Desirable: Pre‑contract tendering experience on NEC3 or NEC4 ECC.
