About the Role

The position supports multi‑billion‑dollar data‑centre programmes for some of the world’s largest developers and end‑user clients. The role is site‑based, embedding you in multidisciplinary teams where you will handle commercial support such as monthly pay applications, change‑order reviews, financial reporting and on‑the‑ground decision‑making across diverse climates and locations. The role provides end‑to‑end cost management services, from inception through completion, across various sectors, and involves leading a team of cost consultants while driving continuous improvement and supporting the net‑zero carbon transition. • Conduct feasibility studies and develop procurement strategies, including report writing and contract selection. • Apply value management techniques early in projects to optimise cost and performance. • Lead estimating, cost planning and presentation of final cost plans. • Manage full procurement cycle: pre‑qualification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation. • Supervise preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds, licences and support formal execution. • Advise on contract administration and ensure accurate measurement, valuation and cost checking. • Produce monthly post‑contract cost reports and present findings to clients. • Identify and assess cost impacts of design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client charges. • Evaluate contractor and subcontractor claims for delay and additional costs. • Oversee issuance of practical completion and final completion certificates and negotiate final accounts. • Manage and coach a team of cost consultants, delivering system improvements and transformational change. • Promote sustainability, social value and carbon‑reduction initiatives in line with net‑zero goals.

What You Bring

• Hold a degree in quantity surveying or cost management and professional membership (e.g., MRICS/RICS). • Demonstrate expert knowledge of industry best practice, value engineering, life‑cycle costing and construction contract law. • Possess detailed understanding of sustainability, social value and carbon‑reduction issues. • Have experience with contract administration, procurement processes and sector‑specific expertise.
