About the Role

The company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work remotely and lead the design of complex cooling and HVAC solutions, including air distribution, chiller plants, and alternative energy systems for mission‑critical facilities. The role involves close interaction with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and external vendors, as well as mentoring junior engineers and overseeing all mechanical design disciplines. • Support project team independently during design and construction phases • Design air distribution, hydronic, and automated temperature control systems • Integrate complex mechanical requirements into overall facility designs • Develop drawings and specifications for architects, contractors, and owners • Participate in client meetings and contribute to discussions • Coordinate with internal disciplines and external vendors/manufacturers • Communicate engineering concepts and decisions to clients and stakeholders • Maintain existing client relationships and develop new ones • Mentor and train junior engineers • Track and coordinate HVAC, energy, controls, fire protection, plumbing, and fuel systems • Provide oversight and review of mechanical designs and drawings before issuance • Perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) evaluations for existing and new facilities • Select and schedule major mechanical equipment • Develop detailed project specifications • Survey and assess existing conditions • Execute construction administration tasks

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with a focus on building systems and possess at least five years of experience designing mechanical systems for high‑performance commercial, industrial, or data‑center projects. Strong communication abilities, proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, and Pipeflow, and knowledge of relevant codes are essential, while additional credentials such as an EIT or PE license and CFD expertise are preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with building systems emphasis • Minimum 5 years of experience designing mechanical systems for high‑performance or mission‑critical buildings • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, and Pipeflow • Knowledge of building, mechanical, and energy codes • Ability to travel to project sites • EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) license (if eligible) • Experience with interior and exterior CFD airflow analysis • Mission‑critical/data center project experience • Experience on international projects
