About the Role
The Automated Regulation Technician, under the supervision of the dispatcher, is responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, service calls, and ensuring customer satisfaction using JCI web tools. Key duties include diagnosing and fixing issues on JCI automated regulation systems, programming in Metasys, updating system drawings, documenting projects, and communicating status and recommendations to clients. Johnson Controls promotes an inclusive hiring process that may use AI tools, with final decisions made by human evaluators, and complies with accessibility legislation such as Ontario’s AODA. • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and service calls on JCI automated regulation systems. • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve system anomalies; program and test changes using Metasys software. • Update and maintain automated regulation drawings and project documentation for future diagnostics. • Communicate with clients to provide status updates, ensure high satisfaction, and recommend upgrades or repairs. • Train customers on JCI automated regulation systems and assist client IT technicians with network changes or installations. • Follow all Johnson Controls and client safety standards and policies. • Participate in continuous technical training and obtain required certifications.

What You Bring
The role requires a college diploma or technical degree in electronics, mechanical systems, IT or a related field, 3–5 years of HVAC industry experience, strong computer and networking skills, fluency in French and English, and a valid driver’s license. • Hold a college diploma or technical degree in electronics, mechanical systems, IT, HVAC or related field. • Possess 3–5 years of experience maintaining electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry. • Be proficient with computers, networking, and Metasys; able to perform software updates. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills; fluent in French and English (written and oral). • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record; able to lift and move equipment up to 40 lb.
