About the Role

The role focuses on developing solutions for HVAC control systems and related equipment by reviewing requirements, evaluating hardware options, creating embedded applications, and assisting with documentation and deployment. Key responsibilities include developing integrated C/C++ applications for microcontrollers and Linux‑based embedded systems, designing object‑oriented software in line with industry best practices, and working closely with hardware engineers to ensure product requirements are met. The engineer will also drive innovation in smart control, telemetry, and building management systems, develop test methods and validation procedures, document operations, and provide technical support to both internal teams and customers. • Develop embedded C/C++ applications for microcontrollers and Linux‑based control systems. • Design and implement object‑oriented software following industry best practices. • Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure solutions meet product requirements. • Create and execute test methods, procedures, and validation tools for system performance. • Document code, test procedures, and user manuals; provide technical support to customers. • Manage multiple projects with minimal supervision and adhere to company policies.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field and have at least five years of experience. A degree in Electronics Engineering or a combined Computer Science/Software Engineering and Electrical Engineering background is preferred, and experience with HVAC controls or BMS is a plus. A valid driver’s license is required for occasional travel to job sites. Required knowledge and skills include strong leadership, effective written and verbal communication, solid decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities, and the capacity to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Technical expertise should cover basic electrical concepts, schematic reading, use of DVMs and oscilloscopes, and proficiency with tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, modern C++ standards, Linux/embedded Linux, ARM architecture, POSIX, and Windows platforms. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience. • Possess knowledge of HVAC control systems, electronics fundamentals, and IoT technologies. • Proficient with Git, Azure DevOps, modern C++ (C++11/17/20), Linux/embedded Linux, ARM, and Windows environments. • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities.
